Floating Up To McQueen

As you know from yesterdays inspiration post, I’ve got a fun shoot I am working on. I love shoots where I get to craft some items. It not only helps me elevate my craft but also it makes the pictures even more special.

This is a neck piece that is made of a quilted material. Then using boning wrapped either in leather or trimming, I created a unique shoulder detail. The butterflies could either be considered the easiest or hardest part. Ask Chelsea she spend the whole day gold leafing every single one. It’s still rough because we have to transport it to NYC where it will be finished.

Mannequin Mandy seems to enjoy it so I cant wait to see it with the model and clothes.

Craft it up!
